Silivri Piri Mehmet Paşa Mosque Restoration Project

Silivri Piri Mehmet Paşa Mosque Restoration Project

Piri Mehmet Pasha Mosque, located in Silivri, Istanbul, was commissioned by Piri Mehmet Pasha, one of the viziers of Sultan Selim I. The mosque follows a plan with tabhane and zaviye sections. It was constructed in 1530 CE and has a single minaret. The central large dome is complemented by a semi-dome along the mihrab axis, and there are single-domed spaces on the right and left sides of the entrance façade. The entrance portico features five domes.

Within the scope of a contract signed with Silivri Municipality for the restoration of historical buildings in the Silivri district, survey, restitution, and restoration projects for Piri Mehmet Pasha Mosque were prepared and approved by the Regional Board of Conservation of Cultural Heritage No. 1. Subsequently, structural, mechanical, and electrical projects for the buildings were prepared, and construction cost estimates were produced. During the restoration implementation, consultancy services were provided within the scope of authorship responsibility.
